Some friends are in Sierra Leone right now and they visited Samuel. They said he’s looking and doing great. He has recovered wonderfully from his surgery. I wish *I* was in Sierra Leone right now. I miss it so much. This is a photo from last summer. Samuel tied our shirts together on the ferry, so that I would take him “back to America with me.” This kid is AWESOME. Also: I LOVE the guy on the left’s expression. I know it well. It means “Crazy people must be Americans.”
